The quartz heater is a boxed heater similar to ceramic heaters, with industry-standard dimensions. It is constructed from a high-temperature-resistant nickel-chromium alloy resistance coil and specially designed refractory quartz material, encased in a highly reflective stainless steel and aluminum-coated housing. The heating element is the core component, and we use Swedish Kanthal heating element, whose high-quality properties ensure more uniform infrared radiation and longer life. When current passes through the heating element, it heats up and transfers heat to the quartz tube. The quartz tube has high infrared transmittance, converting heat into infrared radiation of a specific wavelength, which is then radiated directly onto the object being heated, intensifying molecular vibrations and achieving rapid heating. Compared to traditional heating methods, this method reduces heat loss in media such as air, improving energy efficiency.

The quartz heater primarily emits medium- and long-wave infrared radiation. Its rapid heating rate, requiring only half the time of ceramic heaters, makes it particularly suitable for intermittent production or equipment requiring rapid temperature rise. Medium-wave infrared radiation has greater penetrating power, making it more effective for heating thicker materials (over 2mm). The evenly spaced quartz tubes provide better control over the distance between each heating element, and the consistent thickness of each quartz tube ensures a more uniform surface temperature. Currently, this technology is finding application in industries such as automotive interiors, refrigerator liner molding, and printing.
